Hello. Welcome. And well met.
I wanted to talk about "karma". Particularly a photo of a jar for tips with a sign "Karma Jar". This is pretty much a misunderstanding of the nature of karma. If giving tips creates karma, then I'd say, "No, thanks!". I'd really rather not give if giving creates karma.
Karma here would be an expectation on my part of receiving benefit from the act, and conversely that the person tipped feels any obligation to reciprocate in giving benefit. Because in either state, it seems to me that there is weakness created.
Rather be in a position of "no karma". Not owing nor needing anyone to repay karma in this life or the next. That seems to me to be nice inflection point. Be in balance. And having the full menu of choices to act.
Tipping is a social convention. And essential for good service in certain countries. But it would be a terrible thing to work in expectation of karma to be repaid. Merit perhaps. But that is a topic for another day.
Stay strong always.
